Where to put your hands in a portrait...

I tried to shoot a self-portrait in our living-room, because I always shoot the rest of the family, but no one takes pictures of me :-)
I tried different poses, but the results looked awful...where to put my hands? Grrrrrr.....
So I grabbed my beer and pointed at it...best result for tonight, cheers!
